Lower back and Core exercises

Whether you’re pushing a grocery cart, putting on shoes, or performing other everyday tasks, your core plays a key role in making it all possible. It also influences your balance, posture, and overall stability.

Contrary to popular belief, the core isn’t just about your abdominal muscles. It also includes important muscles in your back and around your pelvis.

Key Core Muscles:

  • Erector spinae: Helps you stand tall and bend sideways.

  • Rectus abdominis: The “six-pack” muscle that lets you bend forward.

  • Obliques: Rotate and bend your trunk.

  • Transverse abdominis: Stabilizes your pelvis.

  • Multifidus: Supports your spine.

  • Other contributors: Pelvic floor, diaphragm, glutes, and muscles around your hips.

Benefits of a Strong Core:

  • Improved posture and balance

  • Spinal support

  • Better overall fitness and movement
